Julio Piedra, photographer, traveller and writer (Seville, Spain, 1982) became interested in photography since his earliest childhood because of his father, who was a good amateur photographer. At the beginning, Julio Piedra spoke with Emilio Morenatti, who recommended him to start in photography working for the press or making social reports and events.
So Julio Piedra got working for a little company, and during this period he developed his speed making instant photography. Now he is making photojournalism and nature works and studying photography seriously.
On the way he has learned many things through his own experience, especially in other areas of photography which were previously unknown to him: from lighting a scene for an advertising campaign or a fashion session to improving the composition abilities.
Julio Piedra understands that technical knowledge of photography is essential to achieve the expected final photography work: "A good photographer is one who controls the result". Definitely something didn´t change between photochemical and photoelectric supports, and it´s precisely this.
Nowadays he owns a Canon 5D Mark II and the best Canon lenses, which makes easier and brings quality to the final work.
